What’s Included

Your registration entitles you to join some other amazing Humans for the best muddy adventure race in Houston! You will also get some cool Racing Human gear, including:

- Racing Humans T-Shirt (so you can brag to all your friends about completing the most competitive, most fun race in history)

- Timing Chip (you can track how long it takes you to complete the race, very cool)

- Bib Number (so we can track how long it takes you to complete the race, very important)

- Finisher Medal (so you can prove to all your friends you are a Human that crosses the line)


Divisions and Waves

Racing Humans is the most extreme, all out, fun event in Houston! Races will begin in1 hour increments throughout the entire day. To see the schedule, click HERE.  All races begin at the designated starting line regardless of age class excluding the youth waves. Pick a time that best fits your schedule, if that time slot is unavailable select an alternate time. It is very important that all Humans arrive at least two hours before your chosen race start to complete the registration process and receive your race day packet that includes your cool Racing Humans gear!

Our divisions are divided into category by age and sex. Men’s and Women’s categories are as follows:

15-20     21-25     26-30     31-35     36-40     41-45     46-50     51-55     56-60     61-65     66+

This race we have added to special waves for kid’s only!

Awards and Prizes will be given for the following categories:

Overall Fastest Female Human

Overall Fastest Male Lil’ Human Ages 7-10 Years

Overall Fastest Female Lil’ Human Ages 7-10 Years

Overall Fastest Male Racing Little Human Ages 11-14 Years

Overall Fastest Female Racing Little Human Ages 11-14 Years


Age division awards will be determined based on one’s age on race day.

All awards are based on the official net time.

Participants must pick up their packets in person.

The awards ceremony will take place at one hour after the last wave of the day to recognize the top Racing Humans of the Day. *Humans must be present to receive your recognition and award.  No prizes will be mailed to Humans.

Crazy Costumes

Racing Humans Craziest Costume Contest

Costumes are highly encouraged! In years past we have see Nacho Libre, Vikings, Richard Simmons look alikes, Gladiators, Super Heros and many, many more

Dress as a group, show up in your own creative costume! (Costumes not require!)

Rules & Guidelines

Rules and guidelines are intended with the sole purpose of creating a fun and safe event for all Humans and must be followed.

All Racing Humans Adventure Race participants MUST complete and sign the Racing Humans Adventure Race Event Waiver prior to participating.

Participants will abide by all instructions given from any race staff, volunteers and/or medical personnel.

Participants understand and acknowledge that this is an extreme sports event and accept all risks associated with that fact.

Participants must be physically able to complete the course and all obstacles.

Participants are required to wear the provided Racing Humans bib with the number clearly shown on the front. NO participants will be allowed to race without an official bib number.

Videographers and Photographers are stationed along the course. All Attendees agree to allow Great American Adventure Race LLC to use any pictures or video footage of the event for future promotional purposes.

Baby joggers, baby strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, skateboards or any other type of wheeled device are strictly prohibited on the course.

Urinating or defecating on or anywhere near the course is strictly prohibited.

Registration is closed when the maximum capacity is reached.


Racing Humans medical personnel may examine any participant who appears to be injured or in pain. The medical personnel may remove any participant from the event if in the opinion of the medical personnel the participant cannot participate in the event.

Participants assume all responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of training and/or participating in the race, including but not limited to hospitalization, ambulance transportation or physician services.

Great American Adventure Race LLC. (Event Producer) reserves the right to cancel or delay the race due to severe weather or in the event of a disaster.

We highly recommend participants wear running shoes. Participants should be dressed appropriately for extreme sports racing.


Completion of all Racing Humans obstacles may be hazardous. It is the responsibility of the participant to leave the course if they cannot complete an obstacle.

It is the responsibility of the participant to notify course officials if the participant ever feels in danger or is injured.

Any participant who receives assistance from any spectator or non-competitor on any obstacle shall be immediately disqualified.

Wave Start

All participants will be assigned to a wave. Waves will start every hour.

Race Start

All participants are responsible for knowing their race’s start time and check-in method.

Participants are encouraged to report to their assigned starting location at least 15 minutes prior to the start of their wave.

Course Officials

Any participant who disobeys instructions from any course official is subject to disqualification and/or removal from the race. This includes but is not limited to unsportsmanlike behavior, offensive language, nudity and excessive use/inability to complete any obstacles.

No participant, after leaving the course, may return to the course or rejoin the Racing Humans event course.

Any participant found to have shortened the intended and marked course by any length is subject to immediate disqualification.

Any participant with an unregistered pacesetter shall be immediately disqualified.

Any participant on the Racing Humans course found not to be wearing an official race bib number or timing device shall be immediately disqualified.

Non-participants/Spectators are not allowed on the Racing Humans Racecourse or any obstacles at any time for any reason without prior written approval.


Event officials reserve the right to modify any event rule at any time for any reason.

Participants shall be responsible for knowing any modification to the Racing Humans event rules published prior to the event.
